Shift: A Stress Management Experience (SF Bay Area)

About the Program

Led by integrative physicians and holistic health providers, One Medical’s stress and anxiety management program consists of four weekly group sessions. It’s an introductory course designed to acquaint participants with several highly efficient and effective stress relief techniques, all within a supportive and safe community atmosphere.

Why It’s Unique

In this program, we focus on experiential skill training, so you’ll learn highly practical tools in each session that you can practice immediately. One Medical health coaches will also participate to help guide you in how to incorporate these tools into your busy life.

Now Enrolling

We’re now enrolling participants for the following Shift series:

  • Wednesdays, May 20th, 27th, June 3rd, and 10th, from 6-8pm - This Shift series is for our LGBTQIA+ members
  • Wednesdays, May 27th, June 3rd, 10th, and 17th, from 5:30-7:30pm
  • Thursdays, June 11th, 18th, 25th, and July 2nd, from 6-8pm

Workshop Location

For the time being, Shift will be conducted online, via a HIPAA-compliant version of the video platform Zoom.

Program Cost

Each session is billed to your insurance as a virtual medical visit, and subject to payer policies and restrictions for telehealth. You may be responsible for your regular copay, coinsurance, or deductible owed depending on your insurance benefits. Please check your insurance policy or reach out to your insurance provider to better understand your costs.

Requirements

We're asking you to commit to attending all four 2-hour group meetings, on the consecutive days listed above. We also ask that you practice your new skills for 10 minutes a day during the course of the program.

What to Expect

Shift is a skills-based approach to stress and anxiety management. It is most beneficial for individuals struggling with stress management, generalized anxiety, and insomnia.*

You’ll learn seven highly effective skills that can be easily incorporated into a busy and stressful life. These include:

  • Breath work
  • Posturing
  • Visualization
  • Healthy self-talk
  • Progressive muscle relaxation
  • Loving-kindness practice (Metta)
  • Mindfulness

The program is educational, fun, experiential, and transformative. We’ll provide a light meal after each session.
